This article will guide you on how to manage the Client Locations
from the Video Service Desk Admin dashboard.
What is a Client Location? #
Client Location
is the location from where the customer calls originate.
It could be an actual physical location from where the customers are calling using a link or by signing in. Or it could be a specific page from your website where a widget is added.
Multiple Client Locations
can be used to route calls based on agent skills to different teams or people. If you do not need agent skill based call routing, you can create a default generic location called Website
or Office
(as applicable).
Example 1
Create Home Page
as a location to route calls from Home Page
to Sales
team automatically.
Create User Dashboard
as a location to route calls coming from User Dashboard
to Customer Support
team.
Create API Docs
as a location to route calls to Tech Support
team.
Example 2
You are a company with multiple branches in different countries. Take New York and Mumbai as examples. Answering New York calls need American Accent
as a skill.
So you can create New York
and Mumbai
as two Client Locations
.
