This article explains how to setup VSD Credentials
as a Dialer
to initiate calls or live chat requests.
What are VSD Credentials? #
VSD Credentials
are a type of Dialer
for a closed group of customers. You can share these credentials and the login URL with the customers whom you want to allow to call your agents. One set of VSD Credentials can be used by unlimited individuals.
Please note that if you want to allow only your authenticated customers to initiate calls, you can use VSD Button for that purpose. First, authenticate users on your application. Then add VSD Button to only the webpages that need user authentication to access, for example, the customer dashboard.

VSD Credentials
support skill based call routing. So, calls from a particular set of customers can be easily routed to specific agents.Customers fill your custom contact form before initiating a call. This information is stored in an organized manner in your call history.
Setting Up VSD Credentials #
Login to the Video Service Desk dashboard as an admin.
Go to the
Dialers
section.
Here you can see the list of all the Dialers and their details.
Now let's go on to edit one of these Dialers.
Once you click
Edit
, you will be able to see the differentDialer Types
. In the Basic Details tab, note the Client and Client Location for this Dialer to make sure you are sharing the credentials as expected.
Let's go to the
VSD Credentials
tab.
Share the below credentials with your customers. Note that one set of credentials can be used by unlimited customers.
You can test this by logging in with these credentials in an incognito tab and placing a call.
